How does advertising affect obesity?

I”m doing a debate, and my job is to prove that advertising doesn’t affect obesity. And that they shouldn’t ban advertisement or limit it. So if anyone has any information on this kind of thing please let me know.
Any information on how advertising doesn’t cause obesity, or other things that cause obesity would be helpful/

Is there a way to let group members ADD CHOICES to a POLL?

I’m a group owner. I want my members to be able to decide the choices for a particular group poll. This seems like a pretty normal thing to be able to do: members decide what the choices are. (In this case, the number of choices may be upwards of 20, so it’s best if THEY do it. It’s empowering that way, too.) In Management, the default selection seems to be to allow members to “create/modify/vote in polls”. Sure, they can create and vote, but they sure can’t seem to modify the poll. There are no links for them to add choices or otherwise edit a poll. Where is this supposed “member modify” feature and how come they can’t use it as advertised?

Why does the government allow pharmaceuticals companies to advertise products that will give us worse effects?

There is no real right answer I guess. But it is nice to know what you all think about the whole thing. I wouldn’t want to take something for Allergies if I had to put up with cramps, headachs, rashes etc……. Would you?

Why don’t people STUDY evolution if they’re skeptical?

Skepticism is a good thing, and science needs it. But people seem to only ever want to listen to those who agree with them You can’t learn anything that way!!! You have to understand your opposition to know whether or not they have a basis in truth.

I did not reach adulthood already convinced of the truth of evolution. Quite the contrary, I thought it was rubbish by the time I graduated high school. But if you study the matter in-depth, and look into the molecular basis of life, it becomes pretty undeniable.

So why are people asking for a 40 second solution to a 3 year question? I can’t sum up evolution in a few paragraphs any more than I can sum up physical chemistry or the importance of free markets to economic growth. Is a complex subject. So if you don’t care enough to find the truth, why ask the question? And if you do care, why not go the distance in studying the matter? What are you afraid of?
