Some Americans are suing cinema chains for showing adverts. Is this something you’ve not had until recently?
I’m British, and we’ve had adverts before the main film for as long as I can remember- in fact, the tune for “Pearl and Dean”, one of the advertising resellers, is fondly remembered by many. With this in mind, I was confused when I recently read that Americans have started to sue cinema chains for showing adverts – or rather, for not displaying the film start time. What changed to prompt this action?
